Laboratory of Synthesis and Properties of Biologically Active Derivatives of Amino Acids and Peptides

The laboratory is engaged in the development and application of affordable and highly efficient synthesis methods for the creation of various amino acid and peptide derivatives to synthesize new biologically active compounds. Aiming at the creation of a pharmacy for the treatment or prevention of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, the anticholinesterase and antiradical activities of the synthesized compounds are also evaluated in the laboratory. Docking studies of the reaction of dehydroamino acid and peptide derivatives with acetyl- and butyrylcholinesterases, and studies aimed at revealing the relationship between chemical structure and biological properties are also carried out.
